If you are looking for Las Olas Cafe……

The Mason Jar Cafe  is Now OPEN!

After 20 years of first dates, proposals, weddings, receptions, anniversaries, holidays (how many guys waited until February 13 to make a reservation Valentine's Day, only to be informed that "we've been booked solid for weeks"), family reunions, and just plain great dinners out, Las Olas Cafe served its last customer on May 30 of 2010.

The landlord declined to renew our lease, citing it as a "business decision."

Perennially voted as one of the most romantic restaurants in South Florida, Las Olas Cafe had quickly become an icon known for the incredible food, service, atmosphere, and our unique "family owned" style of operating a business.

Founder and patriarch, Nick DeRosa, and his two daughters-Paula and Diane-as well as our wonderful staff want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for making the last 20 years an amazing journey and adventure.

But, as the old saying goes, "when a door closes, a window opens."

Paula has opened another restaurant in a different location in Fort Lauderdale. She, along with Scott Kraft (best friend, entrepreneur,) opened

The Mason Jar Cafe

near the intersection of Federal Highway and Oakland Park Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale.

The cuisine is made-from-scratch homestyle comfort food.

Many of the staff of Las Olas Cafe made the move to our new restaurant so you can expect the same dedication to excellence across the board at The Mason Jar Cafe that you enjoyed at Las Olas Cafe these past 20 years.

We - Paula, Scott, and all the staff - are very excited about the next chapter of our lives. We look forward to serving you as a local, national, and international dining destination for another two decades!
